The keynote guest for CWRU’s Martin Luther King Jr. celebration will be meeting privately with a small group of students on Friday, January 18 at 10am. If you are a CWRU student who is interested in attending the conversation, please contact us.
Frazier’s pubic address, “Through the Lens of our Stories: The King Legacy Today,” will be held at 12:45 pm on Friday, January 18 in the Tink. Her uncompromising and moving work illustrates how contemporary photography can open conversations about American history, class structures, and social responsibility. For The Atlantic’s special 2018 Martin Luther King Jr. issue, Frazier utilized a helicopter and aerial photography techniques to capture how Memphis, Baltimore and Chicago have responded to decades of oppression.
