Join two CWRU humanities alumni to learn more about their careers at the Department of State. Julie Stufft ’98 and Gaurav Bansal ’97. The conversation, which is open to all CWRU students, will be moderated by Dr. Kenneth Ledford, Chair of the Department of History.
Ms. Stufft is currently the Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Visas, in the Bureau of Consular Affairs. Her prior experiences include Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in Maldova; Special Assistant to the President; and Senior Director for Border and Transportation on the National Security Council.
Mr. Bansal is currently Trade Officer, at the US Department of State, promoting American policies and trade negotiations with countries in East Asia. His prior experiences include: Foreign Service Officer at the US Embassy in New Dehli; Political-Economic section chief at the US Consulate in Kolkata; and Non-Proliferation and Counterterrorism Officer at the US Embassy in India.
