The Baker-Nord Center is excited to host a student session with Sylvester Johnson, who is visiting CWRU as the 2021 Walter A. Strauss Lecturer. At the lunch session, Dr. Johnson will field student questions on race and religion, as well as his broader expertise on the humanities, technology, ethics, and artificial intelligence. Dr. Johnson is the founding director of the Virginia Tech Center for Humanities and an internationally recognized scholar in the study of technology, race, religion, and national security. He is also assistant vice provost for the humanities at Virginia Tech and executive director of the university’s Tech for Humanity initiative.
