All humanities majors are invited to meet with Terrence “Terry” Brady, the new President and CEO of Underwriters Laboratories, during a special CWRU career opportunities talk this month. Underwriters Laboratories is an educational nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing curiosity and innovation. It is affiliated with the for-profit company UL, which operates in more than 100 countries around the world!
Brady has served at UL since January 2012. Prior to joining UL, he was an associate and partner for 27 years in the Chicago office of Winston & Strawn LLP, concentrating his practice in mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and corporate governance. Brady attended Dartmouth College and Notre Dame Law School, where he was Editor in Chief of the Journal of Law, Ethics & Public Policy. He lives in Winnetka, Illinois with his wife and two sons.
